MOA

In line with the Government's policy to develop agriculture sector into the third engine of economic growth, the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry (MOA) established representative offices abroad with the aim to increase the agriculture export. The Agriculture Office was established in the Netherlands in February 2006 with the primary role of securing market access for agriculture products in the Netherlands as well as Europe. Since then, the office has commenced numerous efforts in positioning and increasing awareness on Malaysian agriculture and agro-based products in the Netherlands.

As a marketing agent, the Agriculture Office actively carried out programmes that include trade and consumer shows, market intelligence and also trade collaboration. Additionally, the office played the role as facilitator to establish contact with the local authority and as matchmaker between the industry players in Malaysia and the Netherlands as well as Europe.
